To enhance the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities, their families, and our community through training, education, employment services, and advocacy.
Our History:

2006 - The Bridges Foundation serves over 170 individuals by providing employment services through three major programs.

2005 - The Bridges Foundation is named "Service Provider of the Year" by the Developmental Disabilities Service Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

2004 - The Bridges Foundation celebrates 40 years of service to the North Tulsa community of adults with developmental disabilities.

2004 - The Board of Trustees decided upon a new name, The Bridges Foundation, in order to fully reflect the agency’s commitment to its mission and vision to connect people with unique capabilities to employment opportunities.

1988 - The agency, operating under the name "TransVoc," begins providing employment opportunities for clients through the supported community employment program which offers community inclusion and on-the-job vocational training to assist clients as they transition to full time employment.

1964 - The Bridges Foundation begins when a group of parents open the "Handicapped Opportunity Workshop." The focus of the workshop is to provide ongoing educational and vocational training for clients. |
